Before I retreat, for something as a full year in hibernation, to edit the volume 3 of my series "From Modernity to After-Modernity" that is titled "Societal Knowledge Formation", I would like to share my interpretation of China's perception, as the 5,000 year old grandmother of all nations on earth, about humanity's present state of affairs.
The media noise today relates in one way or another to the Western refusal to accept the natural shift of the economy-world to East-Asia. Seven prior shifts occurred during Western Modernity which saw the center of gravity of the economy-world shift from one Western country to another. The last such a shift occurred sometime in between the two World Wars in the 20th century when the USA overtook Great-Britain. (1)
The difference this time around is that the center of gravity of the economy-world is shifting outside of the Western world !
The spectacle of the contemporary US' international behavior demonstrates, in the eyes of the people living on this planet earth, that the global West is willing to risk the well-being of the Western people by threatening to engage in a 3rd World War against what it shamelessly portrays as the "evil other from the East" ! (2)
The West propagandizes on a daily basis the image of the "evil other from the East". This racist propaganda is nothing else than a projection of its own behavior toward the countries that are not complying with its diktats. But the fact is that the West firmly believes in the veracity of its daily propaganda ! Therein resides the sheer madness that is being unfurled on the world by the Western political decision-making process in this Late-Modernity.
The US intervention in Ukraine since 2014 was a calculated move to force Russia to act militarily in order to protect Russian speaking people in the Eastern Ukraine against the daily kinetic moves by the Ukrainian army and its Nazi zealots. This was undertaken in the hope of weakening Russia. The US goal is to destroy that country's resistance and to break it into submissive pieces so as to gain access to its resources. Russia finally imposed its own agenda in February 2022. And by the end of the coming winter it will most probably have defeated the entire West on Ukrainian soil. That is if Russia can't persuade the West to enter into a negotiation process that will force Ukraine into a neutral position that excludes its participation in NATO. Let's not forget that NATO's expansion on Russia's border is seen by that country as a threat to its existence ! That's why it proposed 2 treaties in December 2021 to ensure the security of the whole of Europe including its own. The US refusal to sit down resulted in Russia's Military Operation.
The plan to destroy Russia in Ukraine is merely a first step in the Straussian strategy (3) to reorder the Geo-political reality of the world in a more advantageous configuration so that the US would ultimately be able to force the compliance of China to the diktats of Western big capital holders. Western big capital holders are indeed engaged in a terminal fight, with Chinese state capital, that will decide the future of humanity. Will the Western unipolar hegemony continue to exert its extraction policies on the Global South ? Or will a multipolar arrangement among equals bifurcate the world into a whole new era of shared destiny ?
But what on earth do you think happens when a 250 year old impetuous adolescent nation threatens the 5,000 year old grand-mother of all nations on earth ?
Maturity and wisdom inevitably triumph overwhelmingly as my following posts will make amply evident :

(2) The "evil other from the East". In "The Continuum of the Cultural Field" I develop the thesis that societies are driven by their cultural field.
" In the process of my search I discovered that what we habitually call culture covers, in reality, different concepts that apply to a similar substance as it expresses itself along different timescales :
1.Civilization
A civilization eventually emerges within a given territory and its axioms then spread a cultural continuum in the multiple societies that happen to form and develop within its territorial sphere.
2.Worldviews
A worldview is a societal narrative, about the working of reality, that is grounded in the axioms of its civilization. Worldviews are shared by the citizens of societies over the long haul historical era that spans their civilizational continuum. The sharing of a worldview by the citizens strengthens their trust in each other which leads to a stronger societal cohesion which in turn eases the reproduction of their societies over the long haul of many generations.
3. Daily culture
Daily culture is the sum of all human ideas, behaviors actions fashions, and other that are expressed by the individuals within a given society in the present moment.
A society’s daily culture is the automatic result of the synchronization between its present contextual settings and the cultural continuum given by its axioms of civilization and its worldview.
... We have, as a matter of habit, come to designate a similar societal substance, as it is expressing itself over different timescales, under the appellation of culture.
But the short characterization given here above suggests that this similar societal substance takes on a different character as it moves in the different timescales given by ‒ the daily-present ‒ a certain historical time-span ‒ or the civilizational continuum.
The reigning confusion about the meaning of the concept culture originates in our mix-up of its different character in different time-scales.
... This idea of continuum implies evolution ‒ the biological evolution of the individuals ‒ the cultural evolution of societies.
Both kinds of evolution participate in the evolution of the species. In that sense the cultural continuum within societies is an analogy of the genetic code of the individuals.
Biological evolution is imprinted in the genetic code of the individuals after a genetic mutation replicates over time. In the same fashion societal evolution is imprinted in the cultural continuum after a cultural mutation (meme) replicates over time.
What is important to remember at this stage is that biology is prime and non-negotiable. This means that culture has to submit to the imperatives of biology. It can’t go counter to biology."All this means that the path of societies is largely given by their axioms of civilization and by their worldview (religion or philosophy) which are imprinted in the minds of their citizens.
As the master axiom, of the Western civilization, dualism drives the thinking of Westerners about "the others". They unconsciously posit that they themselves are on the side of "what is good" and this makes them believe that their societies are "exceptional". But this also necessarily implies, that in their minds, the otherness of "the other", in beliefs dresses or in skin color, is the sign of her or his evilness.
The Western belief, in its own goodness and exceptionalism, unconsciously forces Westerners to view China as an evil nation whose people are not trustworthy and so on and on.
This is why the West refuses to accept the idea that China ever surpasses the economic might of the USA USA USA...
And seeing that China is beating them at their own game Westerners are furious... and continuously insult that country while inventing all kinds of stories like concentration camps in Xinjiang to try to paint a repulsive image of it in the eyes of the world at large.
But whatever the propaganda Westerners are shouting daily on the top of their lungs the facts are far heavier than their words ! In reality their words are generally perceived, in the eyes of the rest of the world, as being nothing else than egregious lies !
3. The Straussians :
Some students and followers of Leo Strauss, a professor of political science at the University of Chicago from 1949 to 1969, formed the core of the US Neo-Conservative movement. They advocate the promotion of foreign intervention to preserve the hegemony of the US. Paul Wolfowitz is the best known among them. He was among the founders of the think-thank "the Project for the New American century" that advocated for the elimination of any competitor that could possibly threaten the US economic supremacy which they fear would have the effect of cancelling its hegemonic ruling of the world.
The Straussians operate as foreign policy actors of both Republican and democratic administrations and collaborate with "Liberal interventionists" like Hillary Clinton or Antony Blinken.
